Did you download the RFMOD files on the 'download' thread on the forum.
If not, then download them and put them in the packages folder (C:My Documents/rFactor2/Packages) then open up rFactor 2, before selecting any of the options chose the manage mods option on the bottom right of the box. Right click on the mods and chose install, then it's good to go.
So finally got the beta and have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by what I've seen and felt so far. The Megane is a fun car to drive, while the Formula Renault is a bit meh. The 1960 F1 car is something that needs a bit more practice in before I can fully commit to it.
The Tyre Model seems to be similar to netKar Pro in that when you get understeer going on you can 'feel' the front tires wash out and scrub. There grip line seems to work well and running through the gravel (as I often do) creates problems down the line
The only criticism I can aim at it so far is that the AI seem a bit scripted (lock wheel then bizarre spin) and that it's a hog on the CPU at the moment as such my PC which meets the min spec easily, suffers some FPS lag when it gets busy in a race.
Overall though, good fun, and that what I look for in a game.
mmm might have to try this and dig out the G25 again. Haven't turned a wheel in anger on a sim for ages and tbh I'm missing something to do, there seems to be a healthy buzz about the Beta just now and besides, there is only so much a man can handle of Football Manager before it becomes an unhealthy addiction (10 seasons in with a custom database to reflect a pyramid system in the Scottish Leagues...went Fort William, so much fun).
Just finished watching TT3D: Closer to the Edge which I got for Christmas from the folks. I'm heading over for the 2012 TT and they thought this would be something I would like....it was getting ordered if I didn't get it tbh so that saved a few bob
There are a few weak parts to it, some of the footage is out of place and the narration from Jared Leto while good, the American tone just seemed to be out of place in what is a very British race....but that is nit picking. Overall the footage was great, the story compelling and left me speechless at the end, can not wait till I go over.
Overall a great documentary and a recommendation to all. 9/10
Thought the same one time myself, but then I spoke to my little brother.
He was on the unlimited texts PAYG plan with O2, top up £15 a month and there you go. He averaged nearly 200 texts a day and it turns out that the 'unlimited' plan is not so unlimited after a couple of months at that rate as he ran out of free texts.
But under the rules of Football in England, calling someone 'Negrito' is deemed using racist language. Suarez has admitted he called Evra that and as such is punished accordingly.
Mind the FA charged him with using racist language and not being racially abusive towards Evra...so I fail to see where is the problem is.
The English FA have to be see to come down hard on any Racist incident since they demand that from FIFA/UEFA every time England play overseas and their players get abused (and rightly so I may add). If the FA acted weakly on this then it wouldn't have helped further down the line.
As for Terry it'll be interesting to see what the FA will do after the CPS finish with him, mind he's been charged by the police and not the FA on this one.
Ignorance is not a valid defence. This is not a 9 year old kid we are talking about but a grown adult. Also it's not like he as a newcomer to European football fresh off the plane from Uruguay either, he's been in Europe for a number of years and is bound to known that if you say the 'n' word to a black person there's a decent chance he's going to become pissed off very quickly
Suarez has admitted he used a racist term towards Evra and as such been punished accordingly. For Liverpool to come out with all this "we are all Suarez" shite that I would expect to see from the bleating Celtic fans who claim it's their historic heritage to sing songs in support of the IRA is just embarrassing. And for Suarez defence of the term he used not being an insult in his homeland....well guess what, you're not in your homeland now, you play by our rules.
Suarez has been charged of using a racist term...not being a racist, small difference that seems to have been missed. BTW the Liverpool official statement basically boils down to "Suarez didn't do it has he has a black dad and anyway Evra started it anyway by being nasty to him....."
Last nights El Classico was great to watch. Madrid started so well by pressing high up the pitch and preventing the Barca back 4 time on the ball. The thing is, it could only happen for a while and soon they couldn't keep the intensity up and this allowed Barca time on the ball to pass the ball around and set up those triangles. The equaliser was a typical Barca move, Messi (undoubtedly the best player in the world at the moment) driving forward and taking 3 players out of the equation by a simple pass and it was 1-1
2nd half was all Barca, although Madrid had their chances. The most telling at 2-1 when Rondaldo missed a clear header, a minute later Barca score with Fabregas netting after an inch perfect cross from Alvies.
Anyone who says that they don't like the way Barcelona play doesn't deserve to have eyes. As for the diving, well yes there was a bit of that (from both sides) along with the typical Mourinho tactic when his team gets outplayed of kick the opposition (Ramos should have seen red at least) but I ask you, tell me a game in the modern day that doesn't have examples of diving. I have watched both the Blackburn game and Stoke game and have seen examples of diving. There are examples of diving week in week out in every league....to say otherwise is just burying you head in the sand.
So many moments and scenes that can be picked from that show the list is endless. Personal favorite is the scene in the first series were Mcnulty and Bunk do the crime scene with one particular word....brilliant TV
FTR I also enjoyed Generation Kill and Treme....never got around to the Corner but will one day.
